Waltzing Around the World – The Hundred Lives of Johann Strauss

Following the captivating Loriot anniversary concert last November, we present you with a diverse program at the outset of the 200th anniversary of the Waltz King Johann Strauss (Son) with the Munich Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Olivier Tardy.

Udo Wachtveitl, known as a “Tatort” detective and narrator, will once again guide through the concert and the exciting life of Johann Strauss.

The popular Munich caricaturist Dieter Hanitzsch has provided the wonderful motif for the poster.

You will listen to works by Johann Strauss (Son), Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Jacques Offenbach, among others.
